HISTORY. The Declaration of Independence of the 13 states of which the American Union then consisted was adopted by Congress on 4 July On 30 Nov. Alexandr Pushkin simultaneously admired the vision and determination shown by the ruler, and was troubled by the measures necessary to carry out the envisioned.
